SCC Expands Student Services with Eagle's 1-Stop Center
sccnewsicon(February 23, 2010) For nearly 40 years, Stanly Community College (SCC) has provided students with the tools they need to be successful. Due to increased student enrollment over the last several years, the need for more student services has been in high demand. Curriculum students will benefit from a new service center on the Albemarle campus, called – Eagle’s 1-Stop. This new center will provide students with services and resources to help them accomplish their goals.

“Eagle’s 1-Stop is a place where students can get help on just about anything,” notes Jennifer Hatley, Director of Eagle’s 1-Stop. “We wanted to create a one-stop-environment where curriculum students can get help with registration, WebAdvisor, Web CT, Moodle, online services, email accounts, academic counseling, financial aid, tutoring, or any other question or need they may have.  In the past, we found that our students had to travel to different locations on campus to get a particular service; now, we offer a place where a student can get everything they need at one stop – Eagle’s 1-Stop,” explains Ms. Hatley.

Eagle’s 1-Stop is now open for curriculum students and is located in the Patterson Building, Room 230 (upper level) on the Albemarle Campus.

An open house celebration is scheduled for April 6-7, 2010. Students, faculty and staff, as well as the public, are invited and encouraged to join us for this informative celebration to learn more about the services that Eagle’s 1-Stop offers.
