(03-08-2010) Each year, thousands of auctioneers, apprentice auctioneers, and designated persons on any auction firm must complete four hours of North Carolina Auction Licensing Board (NCALB) approved continuing education. Participants may have to travel hundreds of miles to the closest facility that offers this special training.
“We have instructors teaching the NCALB classes in Cherokee on March 15th and in Hickory on March 29th,” comments Betty O’Neal, Carolina Auction Academy (CAA) Instructor at Stanly Community College (SCC). “But because many individuals have expressed a need for something closer to home, we have also decided to offer the classes at our Crutchfield Campus in Locust, NC,” adds Ms. O’Neal.
SCC will offer an additional class on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at our Crutchfield Campus. This is an approved four hour Continuing Education (CE) class. Topics include Auction Law & Ethics and Thinking Outside the Box Update. Registration information for the April class is located on the College website at www.stanly.edu or you can call 704-991-0257 for additional information.
Carolina Auction Academy, School of Auctioneering, offers a comprehensive 96-hour program designed to prepare participants to pass the state exam, obtain a license, and gain the tools necessary to enter the business world as an auctioneer.
CAA is accredited by the North Carolina Auctioneer Licensing Board and the South Carolina Auctioneer Commission; and it is also endorsed by the National Auctioneer Association and the Auctioneer’s Association of North Carolina.
